Project experience
The Peninsula London – Hyde Park Corner
Following the administration of the original MEP contractor, Nexus supported Powell Systems in navigating the commercial recovery of key works at The Peninsula London.

Scope of involvement
Nexus entered at a high-pressure stage, bringing commercial order to incomplete records, live procurement decisions, and complex stakeholder interfaces.
- MEP Scope Realignment – Review of incomplete contract packages and redefinition of the remaining procurement and delivery scope.
- Procurement Strategy – Re-tendering of priority packages against revised programme constraints and exacting quality expectations.
- Subcontractor Negotiation – Pricing clarifications and value engineering to support Powell's entry into the remaining works.
- Commercial Risk Review – Identification of legacy exposure and support in securing commercially viable terms.
- Stakeholder Liaison – Reporting and coordination with development managers, client project managers, and the fit-out contractor.
The project reached practical completion in February 2024. Nexus helped protect value and programme integrity across a development comprising 190 guest rooms and suites, luxury residences, multiple food and beverage destinations, and bespoke spa facilities.
